Common questions

How do I invite people?

On a trip, open Group and tap Invite people. Send the link, or read out the six-character code. Anyone with the link can join until a curator resets it, or the trip ends.

My sign-in code didn't arrive.

Check your spam folder, then ask for a new code; only the newest one works. Codes expire after a short while.

Does everyone need the app?

No. A friend can open the invite link, sign in, and use Pingy in a browser at app.joinpingy.com: the plan, the map, the chat and the money. Sharing live location needs the app on a phone.

Is my location always shared?

Never on its own. Live sharing starts only when you tap Share my location on a trip, only for the time you choose, and only the people on that trip see it.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, open Account and tap Delete my account. What it removes is on Delete your account.
