Delete your account
Pingy — last updated 5 October 2026
In the app
Open Account, tap Delete my account, then Delete account. The app says what happens before you confirm: your name, photo, email and payment apps are removed; your trips, and anything you added to them, stay, shown as "Former member". It can't be undone.
By email
If you can't use the app, write to support@thecktgroup.com from the email address on your account, with the subject Delete my Pingy account. We delete it within 30 days and write back when it is done.
Deleting some of your data, and keeping your account
You don't have to delete your account to remove things. In the app you can:
- delete a message or photo you sent in a trip's chat;
- remove a photo you added from the trip's album;
- delete an expense or receipt you added;
- take down a pin you dropped, and stop sharing your location at any time;
- delete a stop you added (curators), or delete a whole trip you created, which removes its plan, chat, photos, money and pins for everyone;
- leave a trip, so it no longer shows for you.
Anything else, write to support@thecktgroup.com from your account's email address, and say what you want removed. We do it within 30 days and write back when it's done.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in (your email address), so you can no longer sign in with it.
- Your name and profile photo: you are shown as "Former member".
- The payment apps you listed, your live location and "I'm here" pin, your notification settings and push tokens, your record of AI use and your AI agreement, the people you blocked, and your read markers.
- Your place on every trip: you are no longer a member of any of them.
- Links you shared stop working.
What stays
- What you added to trips — stops, messages, photos, expenses and receipts — stays with those trips for the people still on them, under "Former member", so their plans and money still add up.
- Blocks other people made, and reports made by you or about you: these are safety records, not your data.
To remove a trip entirely, delete it from its settings before you go — the person who created a trip can.
